According to McKinsey's report (May, 2016), women’s equality plays an important part in increasing global GDP from $12 trillion in 2016 to 28 trillion by 2025. Among others, there are two key determinants of women’s equality: (1) technology and Infrastructure; and (2) capability building. Considering the importance of this issue in emerging markets, Universitas Indonesia would like to offer a short course on ‘Women and Digital Entrepreneurship’ in the upcoming Global Network Week 2017 in Jakarta.
Students will look at the impact of digital technology on women entrepreneurs, including strategy to improve women’s participation in business through digital technology. Students will have conversations with women entrepreneurs and women business leaders. In addition, students will visit local business owned by women entrepreneurs, learning from local and global digital companies practitioners.
